What is it to be a Woman Artist?!

On May 29, 2015, at 6pm an exhibition of Georgian graphic artist Guranda Klibadze was opened in the George Chubinashvili National Research Centre for Georgian Art History and Heritage Preservation .The name of the exhibition was “What is it to be a Woman Artist?” There were represented pieces of art executed in monotype technique. Overall context of the exhibition was to accentuate the urgency of the gender question in art. Although along with this problem, the visitors had a good chance to get acquainted with the works of one of interesting representatives of Georgian contemporary graphic art, with current cultural processes and with attempts to create new artistic reality.

The exhibition was preceded by a paper – “What is it to be a Woman Artist?” – read by an art historian Tatia Ghvineria.
