In 2010 15 -20 of July with the joined project of Giorgi Chubinashvili Centre, Max Planck Institute of Florence and Basel University was held the Expedition in Svanety. the Expedition aimed to study the Svanetian monuments (architecture , wall paintings and icons); On each monument the joined scientific discussions were held. The special interest was given also to the studding of the objects of Svaneti museum (icons, manuscripts and atc).
One of the main reasons of the Expedition was also photographing the monuments seen during the compain; all this material will be included in the photo archive of Max Plank institute.
