On 17-20 February 2011, a three day expedition was organized to historical Tao-Klarjeti by the Agency of Protection of Georgian Cultural Heritage. The experts – art historians, historians, architects, constructors and journalists became acquainted with the monuments of Georgian architecture on-site. Because of a lot of snow they managed to inspect only the churches of Oshki and Ishkhani.
These unique temples are in a sad state so to save them urgent measures have to be taken. Among other experts David Khoshtaria, the head of the department of ancient Georgian art of the Chubinashvili Centre, took part in the expedition.
2011 წლის 17-20 თებერვალს, საქართველოს კულტურული მემკვიდრეობის დაცვის სააგენტოს მიერ მოეწყო სამდღიანი ექსპედიცია ისტორიულ ტაო-კლარჯეთში. ექსპერტები – ხელოვნებათმცოდნეები, ისტორიკოსები, არქიტექტორები, კონსტრუქტორები და ჟურნალისტები ადგილზე გაეცნენ ქართული ხუროთმოძღვრების ძეგლებს.
დიდთოვლობის გამო მოხერხდა მხოლოდ ოშკისა და იშხნის ეკლესიების დათვალიერება. ეს უნიკალური ტაძრები სავალალო მდგომარეობაშია და მათ გადასარჩენად სასწრაფო ზომებია მისაღები. ექსპედიციაში სხვებთან ერთად მონაწილეობდა გიორგი ჩუბინაშვილის ცენტრის ძველი ქართული ხელოვნების განყოფილების გამგე დავით ხოშტარია.
On January 12, 2011, the presentation of the second edition of the album “Georgian Christian Art” was held in the Ministry of Culture and Monuments Protection of Georgia. The new edition was represented to the audience by the director of the George Chubunashvili National Centre for Georgian Art History and Heritage Preservation Mariam Didebulidze and the minister of Culture and Monuments Protection Nikoloz Rurua.
The album was prepared for publishing by the George Chubunashvili National Centre for Georgian Art History and Heritage Preservation. The authors of the publications are doctors of Art History Dimitri Tumanishvili, Mariam Didebulidze, Mzia Ketskhoveli, Kiti Machabeli, Teimuraz Sakvarelidze, Leila Khuskivadze, Nino Chichinadze, Asmat Okropiridze. The album was designed by Giorgi Demetrashvili.
The second edition of the album was financialy supported by the Ministry of Culture and Monuments Protection of Georgia.
2011 წლის 12 იანვარს საქართველოს კულტურისა და ძეგლთა დაცვის სამინისტროში გაიმართა ალბომის – “ქართული ქრისტიანული ხელოვნება” მეორე გამოცემის პრეზენტაცია. ახალი გამოცემა საზოგადოებას წარუდგინეს გიორგი ჩუბინაშვილის ცენტრის დირექტორმა მარიამ დიდებულიძემ და კულტურისა და ძეგლთა დაცვის მინისტრმა ნიკოლოზ რურუამ.
წიგნი გამოსაცემად მოამზადა გიორგი ჩუბინაშვილის სახ. ქართული ხელოვნების ისტორიისა და ძეგლთა დაცვის კვლევის ეროვნულმა ცენტრმა. ავტორები: ხელოვნებათმცოდნეობის დოქტორები: დიმიტრი თუმანიშვილი, მარიამ დიდებულიძე, მზია კეცხოველი, კიტი მაჩაბელი, თეიმურაზ საყვარელიძე, ლეილა ხუსკივაძე, ნინო ჭიჭინაძე, ასმათ ოქროპირიძე. მხატვარი: გიორგი დემეტრაშვილი.
ალბომის მეორე გამოცემა დაფინანსდა საქართველოს კულტურისა და ძეგლთა დაცვის სამინისტროს მიერ.
