The exhibition of the works of an artist and graphic painter Lado Bregadze in the Centre exhibition hall Ars Georgica (12.09.17)

The exhibition of works of an artist and graphic painter Lado Bregadze was organized in the Centre exhibition hall. There were represented the artist’s series of works and those, which were created not long before his death. That was the reason why these works were unknown to the wide society.

12-22.09.2017 – a research seminar  – “Crossing the borders ; Christians, Moslems and their art in the East Anatolia and Caucasus” – was held on the initiative of the Courtauld Art Institute (London, the United Kingdom) and financed by the Getty Foundation (the USA). This year the seminar took place in Georgia and as it twas in the previous years, the Centre researchers took part in it.

On 25. 08-3.09 a summer school co-education course  was held at the Centre where the Centre scientists and professors of Fribourg (Switzerland) University Michele Bacci, Barbara Schellewald, Manuela Studer, and Thomas Kaffenberger gave talks and organized trips to the monuments in different regions of Georgia. Students from Fribourg came to Georgia specially in the frames of this summer school. They together with their teachers and the Centre scientists travelled to different regions of Georgia to see significant historic-cultural monuments.
