A jubilee exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of a graphic artist, painter and sculptor David (Duda) Gabashvili

On November 18, 2014 a jubilee exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of a graphic artist, painter and sculptor David (Duda) Gabashvili (1914-1995) was held in “Ars Georgica” hall of the George Chubinashvili National Research Centre for Georgian Art History and Heritage Preservation. 

The exhibition was opened by the director of the Centre Ms Mariam Didebulidze, the curator of the exhibition Ms Mariam Gachechiladze commemorated D. Gabashvili in her speech and Mr. George Khoshtaria spoke about the significance of the painter’s artistic work.

The exposition consisted of graphic and painted pieces of art: still lives, book illuminations, posters, ex-librises and abstract compositions.

The works of the artist are kept: in the Georgian Museum of Fine Art, National Gallery and in the artist’s family.
