    გ. ჩუბინაშვილის სახელობის ქართული ხელოვნების ისტორიისა და ძეგლთა დაცვის ეროვნული კვლევითი ცენტრის მიერ წარდგენილი პროექტი „ტაო-კლარჯეთი – ისტორია და მემკვიდრეობა – მოძრავი და უძრავი ძეგლები“  შოთა რუსთაველის საქართველოს ეროვნული სამეცნიერო ფონდის 2018 წლის საგრანტო კონკურსის (მობილობის და საერთაშორის სამეცნიერო ღონისძიებების)  II ლოტის № MG_ISE_18_2142 სეზონური სკოლის გამარჯვებულია. პროექტის თანამონაწილე ინსტიტუციებია – მაქს პლანკის ფლორენციის ინსტიტუტი, ბაზელის უნივერსიტეტის ხელვნების  სემინარი, ფრიბურგის (შვეიცარია) უნივერსიტეტის შუა საუკუნეების ხელოვნების ისტორიის კათედრა.

    On June 26 – July 2, 2018 , in the Exhibition Hall of the Chubinashvili Centre a photo-exhibition was arranged dedicated to the Wooden Mosques of Adjara ( Georgia)

    On June 26 – July 2, 2018 , in the Exhibition Hall of the Chubinashvili Centre a photo-exhibition was arranged dedicated to the Wooden Mosques of Adjara ( Georgia). The exhibition was arranged by Suzanne Harris Brandts, a Canadian architect and PhD candidate in Urban Studies and Planning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Angela Wheeler, a PhD student in architecture at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design; Vladimir Shioshvili, a Georgian-American photographer.
    Large-scale photographs of the wooden mosques in Adjara, (West Georgia) as well as drawings and designs were exhibited along with relevant explications. A catalogue of the exhibition as well as post-cards were presented as well.

    აჭარის ხის მეჩეთები

    2018 წლის 26 ივნისს – 2 ივლისს გ. ჩუბინაშვილის ცენტრის საგამოფენო დარბაზში  მოეწყო ფოტო გამოფენა:  აჭარის ხის მეჩეთები.   გამოფენის მომწყობები:  მასაჩუსეტის ტექნოლოგიური უნივერსიტეტის (აშშ) დოქტორანტი, კანადელი არქიტექტორი  სიუზენ ჰარის-ბრანდტსი; ჰარვარდის უნივერსიტეტის დიზაინის სკოლის დოქტორანტი  ენჯელა ვილერი და ფოტოგრაფი ვლადიმერ შიოშვილი (საქართველო-აშშ).
    გამოფენის ავტორები იკვლევენ  ყოფილ საბჭოთა კავშირში კულტურული მემკვიდრეობის და ეროვნული იდენტობის საკითხებს.
    გამოფენაზე წარმოდგენილი იყო ფართო ფორმატიანი ფოტოები მთიან აჭარაში შემორჩენილი ხის მეჩეთების, შესაბამისი ნახაზებით, ჩანახატებით, შესაბამისი ანოტაციებით და ა.შ. გამოფენის კატალოგი  და ღია ბარათები ასევე იქნა წარმოდგენილი გამოფენის მნახველთათვის.

    Summer School

    მაისი 28, 2018

    2018, May 28-June 6 Summer Praxis Course has been arranged for the graduate Students of the Pennsylvania, Department of Historic Preservation, as well as local young professionals and limited number of Penn alumni. The course was held in Tbilisi, Georgia. a Teaching Assistant  Professor Donovan Ripkema. The course was supported by Batumi State University (Georgia) and ICOMOS Georgia.

    On May 31 the group visited the G. Chubinashvili National Research Centre for  Georgian Art History and Heritage Preservation. Dr. Maia Mania  delivered for them a lecture  on the urban Heritage of Tbilisi, its history and problems of preservation. Dr. Mariam Didebulidze made a presentation regarding the history of the Chubinashvili Centre, its main mission,  sphers of academic research and other activities. The guests visited  the Library  and  Photo-archive of the Centre. “Ancient Georgian Art”,  a book published by the Centre was given to each of the students and proffessors as a present.

    ა/წ 28 მაისს – 6 ივნისს თბილისში ჩატარდა საზაფხულო სკოლა პენსილვანიის უნივერსიტეტის (აშშ) ისტორიული მემკვიდრეობის დაცვის დეპარტამენტის სტუდენტებისთვის, ხელმძღვანელი ­- დარგის ცნობილი ექსპერტი პროფ. დონოვან რიპკემა.  საზაფხულო სკოლა განხორციელდა ბათუმის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის და საქართველოს იკომოსის მონაწილეობით. 31 მაისს სტუდენტთა ჯგუფი ეწვია გ. ჩუბინაშვილის ეროვნულ ცენტრს.  ცენტრის მთავარმა თანამშრომელმა მაია მანიამ წაუკითხა ლექცია ქ. თბილისის არქიტექტურაზე მის დაცვასთან დაკავშირებულ პრობლემებზე. მარიამ დიდებულიძემ გააცნო გ. ჩუბინაშვილის ცენტრის ისტორია, მისი ამოცანები, სამეცნიერო კვლევის მიმართულებები, დაათვალიერეს ცენტრის ბიბლიოთეკა, ფოტო-არქივი. ამერიკელ სტუდენტებს საჩუქრად გადაეცათ  ცენტრის მიერ გამოცემული წიგნი “Ancient Georgian Art”

    Cultural Heritage of Pontic Creeks in Ceorgia

    An illustrated book considers activity of the Greeks from Ponto who in the 19th century in several phases came to settle in Georgia. Their activity was based on samples of architecture, mural painting, easel painting, or liturgical art. Nearly all corners of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries Georgia bear significant traces of Greek craftsmen – stonemasons and iconographers. This book serves to expose a general picture of their work.

    “Culture and Artistic Life in the First Republic of Georgia (1918-1921)” is a publication, dedicated to the short-lived independence of the country, containing two essays: “Culture and Art in the Independent Georgia (1918-1921) by Vakhtang Beridze and “Architecture and Construction Activities in 1917-1920 Georgia” by Dimitri Tumanishvili. The book is richly illustrated with the artworks of 1918-1921, photographs of the personalities active in that time period and various historical documents, the full English translation of the Georgian text is provided and the annotations are attached to the illustrations.
