Exhibition of works of an artist and graphic painter Jemal Lolua in the Centre exhibition hall Ars Georgica (29.12.17 – 12.01.17)

The exhibition was dedicated to Jemal Lokua’s 85th anniversary. Jemal Lolua (1932-2001) was a representative of the generation that in Georgian fine art history is called the generation of the 50s. He played a significant part in the history of devolopment of the 20th century Georgian easel graphic painting. Also, the artist’s creative activity in the direction of book illumination, posters, caricatures, script and ex-libris has to be mentioned.

On 17. 10. 2017 the Centre was a host to the works of a well-known American graphic artist, one of the most rating contemporary authors David Mack. It was the iniciative of the USA Embassy in Georgia. After the exhibition the work-shop was organized where the artist spoke about his creative work ; he even showed the audience how he worked with the material.

13.12.2017 – Ermile Magradze read a paper – “About cloisonne technologies and materials” in the Centre conference hall.
