On May 2-5, 2011 Tbilisi Economical Development Forum, where international experts of urban planning took part, was held on the initiative of Tbilisi City Administration and City Council and with the help of the World Bank. In order to work out the strategy of Tbilisi development along with many other problems, the issues of protection and development of historical and cultural heritage of the old town were considered. Besides, the experts discussed the ways of including relevant objectives in the city development strategy.
The director of the Chubinashvili Centre Mariam Didebulidze and research workers Manana Suramelashvili, Mariam Gachechiladze and Tsitsino Chachkhunashvili took part in the conference.
