On November 10, 2010 The National Academy of Sciences of Georgia announced  awards 2010  for the scholarly works and publications.

The George Chubinashvili Prize has been awarded to professor Kiti Machabeli, the leading researcher of the G. Chubinashvili National Research Centre for Georgian Art History and Heritage Preservation for the book “Medieval Georgian stone crosses” edited by the Centre.

On November 5, 2010 The British Council arranged the exhibition of works of English painters  from the British Council Art collection to meet HRH the Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.

Dr.Mariam Didebulidze, director of the G. Chubinashvili National Research Centre for Georgian Art History and Heritage Preservation, and Dr. Maia Mania, the senior researcher of the Center, attended the meeting and provided Prince Edward with information of the Center activities and scholarly relations with the relevant British bodies and organizations, among them with FARIG. Dr. Mariam Didebulidze presented to Prince Edward the book “Georgian Christian Art”
